BINDER WIC: Watch the Installation and Configure Your Own Walk-In Chamber

BINDER WIC walk-in chambers are designed for stability testing and provide controlled climatic conditions in a significantly larger space than conventional laboratory climate chambers. In our new video, you can follow the installation process step by step – from the preparation of the floor elements and assembly of the chamber panels to the air distribution system, control system and completed installation.

The video was recorded during one of our own BINDER WIC installations. DONAU LAB Prague has extensive practical experience with these chambers, with a broad installed base, in-house installation expertise and the capability to perform qualification.

From Modular Panels to a Complete Walk-In Chamber

BINDER WIC chambers are available in three standard sizes and can also be configured as an individual modular solution with a volume of up to 60 m³. Dimensions and equipment can therefore be adapted to the available space and the specific requirements of the application.

The chambers operate within a temperature range of 5 to 50 °C and a relative humidity range of 20 to 90% RH. The design includes 100 mm PU insulation with a U-value of 0.21 W/(m²·K), a stainless-steel interior, an air distribution system and LED lighting with a motion sensor. The climate control unit is installed outside the chamber, allowing service access from the exterior.

A walk-in chamber is not only about selecting the right technical configuration. Installation, commissioning and subsequent qualification are equally important parts of the project.

The online tool guides users through the key requirements for a customized walk-in chamber, including chamber dimensions, the application and samples to be tested, climatic and operating conditions, equipment, accessories and services.

Supporting documents such as floor plans, sketches or technical drawings can also be uploaded as part of the configuration process.

The submitted information creates an initial project specification that can then be used as the basis for further technical clarification and quotation preparation.
